Kendal's Story

Kendal Sacchieri and her family

Kendal was raised on a farm in the small town of Xenia, Illinois. Like most family farms – everybody pitched in and helped. There were always cattle to check or hay to be hauled. During harvest and planting seasons, most days Kendal would be with her father in the combine or tractor listening to Rush Limbaugh on the radio. That’s where her passion for conservative governance began. For her first two years of college, Kendal attended Randall University in Moore, Oklahoma. There she won a national championship in volleyball with the Association of Christian College Athletics.

For her final two years she attended Southern Illinois University of Carbondale where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. Upon graduation, Kendal moved back to Oklahoma to start her career as a Spanish teacher at Newcastle High School. She fell in love with Oklahoma while at Randall University and wanted to invest in Oklahoma and its young people. Kendal cherished her years educating students and coaching young ladies until she left teaching in 2018.

That same year, Kendal ran for McClain County Assessor because of a lack of transparency in the office and a need for someone who would listen to their taxpayers’ concerns, big or small. She is proud of the work she has done to integrate technology into the assessor’s office, making things streamlined for the taxpayer. She also believes knowledge is power and has pursued educating her constituents in all things Ad Valorem. She constantly strives for fiscal responsibility because she does not take the taxpayer’s money for granted.

Kendal and her husband, Ray, will celebrate 8 years of marriage in July. Together they share 3- year-old twin boys, Sam and Denver and a 10-month-old, Huck. They met shortly after Kendal moved to Oklahoma to teach, when Ray, who was a handyman, was putting a new lock on her front door. Ray is a Blanchard native and this is where they call home. They have been active members at Dibble Free Will Baptist Church since 2019, where they have taught Sunday school for college age students and Kendal has served in the nursery.

While the farm was a full-time job, Kendal and her family were always in church when the doors were open. Grateful to have been raised in a Christian family, Kendal has lived a principled life of service dedicated to God, family, community and conservative values. She understands the opportunities and blessings of this great country and she is dedicated to ensuring that the American Dream is kept alive for future generations to come.
